Is it worth buying a used BMW motorcycle with 43500km (27000mi)? Or is that asking for engine problems?

I hear BMW motorcycles run for a long time but is it worth buying a used BMW motorcycle with 43500km (27000miles) on it? Or is that just asking for maintenance/engine problems?

New BMW K1600LT comes with six-cylinder engine

BMW is testing the new K1600LT in the US. The motorcycle got the six-cylinder engine from the Concept 6, which produces 160-170 hp and 130 Nm. The motorcycle has an incredible low seat, a longer wheelbase than it’s predecessor, electrically adjustable screen and luxury equipment. Expect a production model to debut this october.

The german manufacturer showed the Concept 6 last year, and rumours suggested at the time that the new generation of the K-series comes with the straight-six engine of the concept. Well, here’s the production bike, spied in Los Angeles by german tourists. The new touring machine, dubbed the K1600LT has a six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1600cc. The engine was tilted to the front, it means better weight distribution, lower centre of gravity and better handling. The power unit is approximately 100 mm or 4″ slimmer than all former straight-six production engines and only a bit wider than a large-capacity straight-four with conventional technology. Output of the dry sump lubrication engine will be in approximately the same range as on BMW’s 1.3-litre straight-four power units. Torque, on the other hand, will be right at the top of the range, even in comparison with the largest motorcycle engines, such superior power and muscle coming inter alia from engine capacity of no less than 1.6 litres. The engine’s power and performance characteristics are equally impressive, offering 130 Nm or 96 lb-ft of torque from just 2,000 rpm and at the same time revving up almost to 9,000 rpm – a dynamic potential quite unparalleled in the tourer segment.

The K1600LT comes with a wide range of luxury equipment, it has electrically adjustable screen, LED lights, a duolever front suspension, a low, large dual seat and comfortable bars. Full-size pannier and a large top box doubling a pillion backrest are standard, like the old K1200LT it effectively replaces, though that bike hasn’t been produced since 2007.
