How linear is an engine speed governor?
Is the relationship between link displacement (or throttle valve opening) and engine RPMs linear? centrifugal force is not linear with RPMs, so I would expect the governor displacement is not linear, but the engines require linear control. Do you know
If you have full open trottle the engine rpms will increase until readline. That would still display as a linear relationship on a graph. Throttle on the Y, RPM on the X. RPM will increase while Throttle is at 100%, it's a horizontal line, but still linear.
